De-silting a moat in Suffolk
A moat near Stowmarket in Suffolk had slipped into an overgrown condition.
Richard and the team had to cut away a lot of foliage just to get the excavators close enough to de-silt the moat.
Once clear the moat was pumped down so the excavators could begin to excavate the silt, trees and other debris from the bottom of the moat.
A bunded area was created to tip the silt into to stop it spreading across the clients grounds.
The banks were reshaped and levelled using top soil and grass seed.
The moat is now a visual delight.
