POND RESTORATION IN NORFOLK.
The team travelled to the Norfolk broads for a pond restoration.
We transported a submersible pump along with fish holding tanks and oxygenating equipment to Norfolk.
After setting up the holding tanks we lowered the water level of the pond.
The fish were then netted and transferred to the holding tanks.
A 2.7 ton excavator was then transported to site and tracked into position by the pond.
Plants were excavated from the pond.
The tiles around the top edge of the pond were removed and placed to one side.
The old liner was removed along with debris and loaded into our tipper.
This was disposed of off site at a certified location.
Using the excavator one end of the pond was widened.
The banks were reshaped and levelled to the correct height using our laser level.
A key trench was then excavated around the circumference of the pond.
A new underlay and NEW E.P.D.M. liner was supplied and installed.
The team secured the underlay and liner into the key trench.
We then started to refill the pond with the water going through our purifier system.
The key trench was then back filled and the area was raked and levelled.
The plant was then collected and the site was left in a clean and tidy condition.
