POND CLEARED AND DESILTED
our latest project was to clear a pond of reeds, trees, shrubs and silt near Ashen Suffolk.
The pond had been left to overgrow for some years and was hardly visible.
On arrival the first task was to cut back trees shrubs and brambles, using a long reach hedge cutter and chainsaws.
We then had a 5 ton excavator and a 3 ton dumper transported to site.
From the bank of the pond we began excavating the reeds and silt from the pond and loading into the dumper.
The dumper then tipped the silt and debris into the designated area.
Once we had cleared an area large enough, the excavator entered the pond.
With the excavator now on the bottom of the pond it was able to dredge the whole pond.
All silt and debris was loaded into the dumper and tipped into the designated area.
The banks were then tidied up and the excavator and dumper was collected.
The site was then left in as clean and tidy a condition as possible. T
