LARGE POND RE-DESIGNED

LARGE POND RE-DESIGNED.

The team went to Essex for our latest project. The customer required an island to be removed, a partial infill, reshaping of the banks and a better view from their house.

Our first task was to remove trees, brambles and bushes from around the pond.

The pond was then pumped down to a level where we were able to net the fish. The fish were placed in holding tanks with oxygenating equipment to be transported to a new venue.

With the fish safely removed, we pumped out the pond completely.

We then had a 22.5 ton / 15 metre specialized long reach excavator and two 6 ton dumpers transported to site.

We prepared an area in the corner of the clients meadow for all debris and silt to be tipped.

The team then cut down trees from the island in the pond and then excavated the island and infilled the area.

The pond was then dredged to the clay bottom.

By using our laser level readings we were able to reduce the meadow side banks considerably.

A pathway was created around the circumference of the pond and the banks were then graded to become fleeter and not so steep.

We removed an established hedgerow for better viewing from the clients house.

A bonfire was had on site for burning of tree and hedge debris.

The excavator and dumpers were collected and the site was left in as clean and tidy a condition as possible.
