Damaged pond bank repaired in Suffolk
A crumbling bank was eroding back towards the clients property.
Richard and the team began by pumping down the pond water to a manageable level.
The damaged bank was cut back and using aggregates a solid bottom was created.
Oak sleepers were then knocked in using a hydraulic knocker ( designed by Richard ) and excavator. This was used to form the shape of the new bank and move the bank further from the property.
Oak sleepers bolted to the uprights the wall was formed and secured with rear support posts connected to restraining arms.
The bank was then back filled with aggregates to give the bank a solid base.
The ground was then levelled with topsoil and grass seed. A usable area including an outside seating area was formed using shingle which was compacted.
